Ropes and strands made of Nitinol
Nitinol is a nickel-titanium alloy consisting of 55% nickel and 45% titanium. The special material properties of Nitinol are its shape memory and superelasticity. These make it possible to manufacture customized ropes that also meet very specific requirements. Ropes and strands made of Nitinol are primarily used in medical technology. Here they not only increase the efficiency but also the safety of medical devices. Wire ropes made of Nitinol are used in the manufacture of minimally invasive instruments or in orthopaedics and neurosurgery. The close cooperation between our rope factory and medical technology companies enables innovative solutions that increase both the performance and precision of medical devices.
